SATURDAY SPECIAL GIVE-AWAY CARD ~ BLACK, WHITE & GILDING FLAKES

Hello and welcome...
Thank you so much for your concern and get well wishes yesterday, it did mean a lot to me

I think I may have previously shown this card on here and if you would like to give it a new home all you need to do is leave me a comment on today's post.  You have until 9.30am Monday and then a winner will be drawn, at random, and announced later that day

We ship international so it doesn't matter where you live or if you have won previously

The base card is a pearlised white by Crafter's Companion and I added several layers, alternating with black foundation card by Creative Expressions and the pearlised card

The vase is one by Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions, I die cut and embossed this without using the outer cutting die on the white card panel

I covered the bottom part of the final black panel with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet, removed the backing and sprinkled a few gilding flakes/CE on it then burnished them in using a 'rubit-scrubit'
I did the same for the flowers, also by Sue Wilson, but used white card

The card is without a sentiment or verse so it would work as a 'get well soon card', 'just to say hello card', it's your choice

I added a pale insert paper by Craftwork Cards, their paper pads are excellent quality.  I also added some of the paper on the envelope and embossed the back of the envelope

I hope you all have a good and enjoyable weekend

FESTIVE FRIDAY 3

Hello and welcome...

My apologies for my absence yesterday, ill health got the better of me and apologies for today's basic card

If I can I will come back later today with the names of the products used etc

There looks to be a mark on the card, bottom right, there isn't, I think it's where the glue is still wet underneath the glitter jewels

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, I hope my designs have given a little inspiration.
I read all your comments and really appreciate you leaving me a message.

Hello and welcome...
We're visiting Kefalonia with today's card!

I made a white, top folding,  8" square card and added a smaller layer of wisteria foundation card and a smaller layer of white card to the base card

I cut a piece of white card 12.5cm x 14cm and placed the 3rd and 6th die from the Kefalonia Die Set onto it, then die cut and embossed it

In my 'lilac scrap box' I found a darker and glittered piece of lilac card that was an ideal size for the white card I had just used and I adhered these together

I then die cut and embossed 4 corners in wisteria card using the corner tag, again from the Greek Island Collection and adhered them to the 4 corners of the main card

I stamped the sentiment onto more white card using an Onyx Black Versafine Ink Pad and one of the stamp sets by John Lockwood.  I covered this with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet and die cut and embossed it using the 2nd, 3rd and 4th die from the Kefalonia Die Set.  I die cut 2 more and glued them together

I sprayed the topper with a permanent adhesive and coated it with Glitter Jewels Diamond Snow, added mounting foam to the back and seated it to the centre of my card

I added a verse from the same stamp set as above, then used the bubble stamp, again from the same set, inked it with 'wilted violet' Distress Oxide Ink Pad and stamped a border around the verse

verse and stamped border

I also stamped the back and one side of the envelope

CREATIVITY IS MESSY....

Hello and welcome...

This is a white DL size card  used it in landscape to accommodate the sentiment

I have used another Martha Stewart Punch to decorate the edge

On my 'splodge away mat' one of  the colours still remaining is a  wisteria distress ink so I spritzed it with water and using an ordinary 'sponge' (bought from a certain 'cheap store') I dabbed it into the colour then onto the card.  I repeated this on the inside of the card too and added a little on the envelope

I used one of the stamps from Altenew's 'Crafty Friends' stamp set for the sentiment and  verse.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card with a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad and, using a different stamp repeated this for the verse

I then used a paper trimmer to cut the sentiment, added mounting foam to the back and adhered it to the card

I already had a supply of butterflies die cut so I glittered them with Glitter Jewels Iced Snow and adhered them around the sentiment

A very quick and easy card to make once you have all the products at hand!

TWO CARDS AND CARD WINNER

Hello and welcome...
When I was tidying up my table from the last 3 days of card making I decided I would you use some of these 'left over' pieces instead of putting them away to use 'another time'.  I'm also determined to use all my other pieces of card plus possibly something from my storage boxes.  You'll recognise these papers, from Saturday and yesterday's cards AND I've even added a little gold mirri too from Friday's offering!
For the card on the left I used a Martha Stewart punch on the edge of the card, this was because I am sorting a box of craft goodies and some of my craft ladies are wanting punches.... not literally of course, LOL.  You'll be seeing a few more DL cards with a fancy edge this week!

I then partly covered the card front with yesterday's paper and added a thin strip of gold mirri

The little flowers have been in one of my boxes for numerous years I'm embarrassed to say so they have had their airing today (I've still a few more left)

I used a sentiment from the 'Sweet Wishes' collection and stamped it onto the same paper with a black ink pad then die cut it using one of the dies from the Frame One Die Set, added mounting foam to the back and positioned it onto the card

To complete I die cut a small butterfly in gold mirri, positioned that on the card front then stamped a verse, on the inside, about friends and added a ribbon of the same paper on the right side edge

For the card on the right I went to my box of 'pink card left overs', did one layer of the dusky pink, then a layer of the pink paper from Saturday's card.  Back to the 'pink box' and I retrieved a pale pink circle, glued that to the card, overlapped it so that I could cut a straight edge then die cut another piece of dusky pink card using the Medallion Seven Die Set, glued it to the pale pink and cut a straight edge.  With the same dusky pink card I stamped a sentiment, added mounting foam to the back and adhered to the card.  Then, from my 'flower box' I added several small flowers, 2 swirls and 3 berries as shown

To complete I die cut another butterfly in gold mirri (from Friday's card), glued a ribbon of the same paper to the inside and stamped a verse

You'll be pleased to know that future posts will only feature one card!

Before I announce the winner of Saturday's card I would like to warmly welcome my new followers, thank you so much for joining me, your support is greatly appreciated

So, without further ado Random.org Name Picker has chosen....

Hello and welcome...
 I made this card for a lady's 60th birthday

It's an 8" square white card base and I cut a gorgeous 12" square paper, from my stash, a little smaller than the card and used a Woodware corner punch on all 4 corners

I added white lace to the card and a 3mm pale green satin ribbon on top of the lace  and secured it onto the back of the paper prior to adhering to the base card

I typed a personal sentiment onto aqua card stock and die cut this using  the 4th cutting edge die from the Marvellous Squares die set.  This was then adhered, flat, to the card.  Using the same die again plus the 5th die from the same set I die cut and embossed a piece of white card stock, added mounting foam to the back and placed it over the sentiment as a frame

I added a selection of flowers in pinks, peach and aqua around the frame as well as a few sprigs of gypsophila/baby's breath and finally a small heart

I typed a personal verse onto aqua card and added some other words to a second piece aqua card.  These were then die cut and adhered to both sides of the card

The card then had tissue paper over it and  placed in an 8" square card box  with a white crushed silk ribbon around the box
This is nearer the correct colour of the paper!

The verse, apologies for the light!
