WITH LOVE

Hello and welcome...
I made a video for today's card, but it hasn't turned out to be suitable to show lol.   It was 'fuzzy' and actually hurting my eyes when watching it so there was no way I would subject you lovely people to it!

Hubby tells me we need a new camera so if anyone can suggest a decent make, that won't break the bank, we'd be very grateful!

So please excuse the lack of information as I am drained with all this 'filming' lol, and if you would bear with me, as I will, at a later date, have a video for you to see how I made this card

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email me at:

Hello and welcome...

Today's card is white based card, 12.5cm x 18.cm (5"x7")

I   covered the card with a floral mask and, using a sponge applicator, I applied one of the Distress Oxides in 'worn lipstick' over the entire card

I then added a little Cosmic Shimmer Mica Pigment in Lime Frost to the shimmer spray bottle, and sprayed over the inked area.  The water activates the distress oxide ink and the mica powder adds a delicate shimmer, not quite visible on camera today but 'in the flesh' it is.  I put this to one side and left it to dry naturally

I stamped a verse using Adirondack Earthtones in Pitch Black onto a lightweight pink card.  I die cut this using one of the Noble Doubled Pierced Ovals and adhered it in the card.  I die cut another piece of the same pink card and adhered it on the opposite side of the card inner.  I used some of my 'left-over' card stock for this

Instead of reaching for a full piece of card stock I am using my 'left-over' card pieces as much as possible,  This is one good way to use them
I also used a small flower punch and punched 5 flowers out of white card, another way to use left-over card, and glued them around the verse and glued a gold sequin to the centres

I stamped and embossed a sentiment, from the Sweet Sentiment Range by Creative Expressions, onto the same pink card stock, using a VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad and WOW Embossing Powder in Metallic Copper

Using several dies from the Marvellous Squares by Spellbinders I used the 3rd one to die cut the sentiment and used wet glue to adhere this to the card, at a 'jaunty' angle

I used the 2nd and 3rd die, from the same set, to cut and embossed a frame on white card.  I did this 3 times and glued these together then added mounting foam to the back to give me a raised frame to place over the sentiment

To complete I applied a thick line of Collall 3D Glue around one side of the frame and arranged the pink, ivory and white flowers

FOR YOU

Hello and welcome...
I have used part of a Woodware stamp for today's card.  It's called Bold Blooms and as you will see further down this post there are two flowers in the stamp set and one sentiment

I stamped the largest flower onto white card stock using an Adirondack Pitch Black Ink Pad

I used 4 Chameleon Colour Tones to colour the image as well as their colourless blender.  I then cut out the flower freehand

I layered a piece of lilac card onto the white base card, then cut some small pearls to add as part of the decoration.  Using wet glue I 'drew' a line of glue the way I wanted the pearls to lie onto the lilac card, I let the glue go 'tacky' then placed the pearls on top of the glue

I added a piece of mounting foam to the back of the flower head and some wet glue to the stalk then adhered it to the card

I cut the heads off lilac stamens, applied a pool of wet glue into the centre of the flower and individually placed each stamen head into the glue......  you don't have to do that, there are many other ways to decorate the centre of the flower, such as; gems, dazzlers, sequins, colouring it in, to name a few and much quicker!

The sentiment was stamped onto white card, again using Adirondack Pitch Black Ink Pad and I fussy cut it out, added mounting foam to both ends and adhered it to my card

I added a few sequins to the card to complete

The finished card measures 11cm x 15.5cm

INGREDIENTS:
  • White card stock ~ Papermill
  • Lilac Foundation Card ~ Creative Expressions (CE)
  • Bold Blooms Stamp Set ~ Woodware JGS512
  • Chameleon Colour Tones ~ PK3 Bubble Gum, PR4 Purple Grape, YG3 Spring Meadow, OL3 Olive Green
  • Chameleon Colourless Blender
  • Adirondack Pitch Black Ink Pad ~ Ranger
  • Lilac Stamens ~ my stash
  • Sequins ~ my stash
  • Pearls ~ my stash
  • Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Acrylic Glue ~ CE

WHATEVER THE WEATHER

Hello and welcome..

A CAS (clean and simple) card for today's offering

I started with a  5"x7" white card base and cut another piece of the same card a little smaller
The umbrella and sentiment is from a freebie set included in one of Creative Stamping Magazines.  I think it could be from last year!

I stamped the sentiment first using StazOn Jet Black Ink then stamped the umbrella with Archival Ink Coffee

I used a pale orange watercolour pencil to colour in the umbrella and then a pale brown pencil., from the same set, to add polka dots

I didn't want to use any of the sentiments included in the free gift so I typed one, stamped the umbrella again, in the bottom right hand corner, then, very lightly, coloured it

On the card front I added several drops of Glossy Accents around the umbrella
Verse
INGREDIENTS:
  • White card ~ Papermill
  • Autumnal Twist Clear Stamp Set ~ freebie/Creative Stamping
  • Derwent Watercolour Pencil Set
  • StazOn Jet Black Ink ~ Tsukineko
  • Coffee Archival Ink Pad ~ Ranger

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Hello and welcome...
I love black and gold cards, even with a little white showing too!

This card was a commission and I designed it starting with a white, blank 20cm (8") square card base

A narrow mat of black card then white card completed my base card

I then cut a piece of black card, slightly smaller than the background die that I was using, and covered it with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet

I cut another piece of black card to 11.5 cm by just under 16.5cm and die cut it using the Scandinavian Background Die
I removed the adhesive backing sheet and sprinkled Golden Sand Polished Silk Glitter over it, burnishing it in and decanting the left over back into the container.  I added mounting foam to the back of this and adhered it to the centre of my card

Using the border die from the same collection, I die cut 2 strips in black card, I added double sided adhesive sheets to two white card borders, removed the backing and adhered the die cut borders onto them, then glittered them as above.  These were adhered, flat, to the card

I typed the sentiment onto white card and die cut it using one of the oval double pierced dies and glued it to the centre of the focal point.  To complete I added a verse to the inside, as well as using a corner punch on all 8 corners of the insert papers, then, using the same punch again, punched 8 more corner pieces in gold card.  I trimmed the bottoms of the punched pieces,  to give me a straight edge and glued them all 8 corners, as shown below

I hope my designs have also given you a little inspiration
