YOU ARE SO SPECIAL ~ ONE FOR THE BOYS

Hi, thanks for stopping by...
It can be so difficult making cards for the male species at times.  This was a card commission.
The man in question was moving house and doing some DIY as well as turning a 'special age'
  • I used the Shadow Box Die Set ~ Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions and die cut the frame in a brown foundation card ~ CE.  It was adhered to ivory foundation card ~ CE that I embossed using a 'dotted' embossing folder.  This was then adhered to the white card base, A5 size
  • The charms are by Hobby House and I glued those into the two cubbies, a silver 60 was also glued in the smallest cubby
  • As the charms were silver I die cut and embossed the house, by Joanna Sheene Die Set, in a pearlised light grey card stock to coordinate.  I also used mounting foam on the back for dimension and cut around 3 sides of the door to enable it to open a little
  • I stamped the sentiment onto white card using a brown ink pad, used a light brown felt pen to edge the sides then die cut it using one of the Pierced Flags by SW/CE.  I backed it with mounting foam to give it some dimension and curled it slightly
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I read all your comments and appreciate you leaving me a message and hope my designs have given a little inspiration
