SATURDAY SPECIAL GIVE-AWAY CARD ~ HAVE A TRULY FABULOUS DAY!

Hello and welcome...
Today's card is an 8" square and I think  it's down to the pretty pinkish/neutral colour paper that's 'made' the card

The paper is from my stash (bought in Canada a few years ago) and I used a Martha Stewart Corner Punch on all 4 corners

The row of 'crystals' is also from my stash.  The sentiment was stamped and fussy cut several months ago and I thought it would suit the card.  I sprinkled Glitter Jewels 'Diamond Snow' over it then added mounting foam to the back and adhered it to the card

I used 3 Spellbinders's swirl dies (nameless I'm afraid), glittered those and arranged around the sentiment

I applied Diamond Stickles by Ranger on various parts of the butterfly and around the edge of the sentiment

To complete I added a short verse from one of many paper pads I own.  The paper isn't as bright as shown here, it is really a muted colour

If you would like to give this card a new home just leave me a comment please for today's post.  You have until 9am Monday morning to do this and the winner will be picked at random later that day

We ship international too and it doesn't matter if you have won in the past

FESTIVE FRIDAY 2

Hello and welcome...
Never work with children or animals.... or mirri card!! lol

I have spent longer attempting to get a decent photograph of this card, that wasn't showing me in the background, than it took to make the darned thing!

If you want to click on the photograph you may see the lovely detail on the baubles

As previously said, a quick card to make, the embossing folder, by Crafter's Companion, does all the work (the mirri card doesn't lol)

I cut gold mirri to an 8" square that was also the same size as the embossing folder, and ran it through my Spellbinders's Platinum Machine.  I adhered this to a slightly bigger black card base

The finishing touches were to add a black gem to the ribbons of each bauble and to die cut and emboss the sentiment (Creative Expressions) in black card and gold mirri

A verse is yet to be added, providing I can bring myself to engage with said card at a later date!  lol

Look forward to seeing you back tomorrow for our Saturday Special Give-Away Card and I can assure you not one little dot of mirri will be featured :)

ENJOY

Hello and welcome...
A little colour today after 2 days of black and white cards and this cute little card is only 11cm x 14cm

I am also using several other stamps from the freebie set 'Garden Retreat' by Joanna Sheen that came with last month's Creative Stamping Magazine

I cut the white card base to the above measurements for two reasons, the first, I do like these 'note' cards and second, I wanted a size to frame the main focal point

I started with a white card from Papermill Direct and placed it in my MISTI then positioned die 6 in the pierced oval dies/Creative Expressions on the inside and added my stamp in the centre of the oval.  I removed the die and stamped the bird table image using an Onyx Black Versafine Ink Pad/Tsukineko

I used several water colour pencils by Derwent Watercolour to colour the image, although I didn't use any water this time

I used Orange Chrome for the petals, Deep Vermillion for the centres, May Green for the leaves then Olive Green for the centre of the leaves.  I also added a little of the May Green on the grass.  Copper Beach for the bird table, and I coloured this twice, the second time to create a deeper colour in places

The bird and the sentiment was stamped with the same Versafine Ink Pad then the bird coloured in using Gunmetal and Kingfisher Blue

I replaced the die back onto the image but this time had the die with the cutting edge facing upwards, I then added the shim and embossing folder and ran it through the Platinum Machine/Spellbinders.  This left an excellent impression on the top part of the card.  I removed the die, opened the card fully and placed the die back onto the embossed area on the card front.  This was then die cut

Using dies 6 and 7 I cut and embossed white card 3 times to give me a narrow frame for the top of the card.  The 3 ovals were glued together then adhered to the card

The flower is one I had tucked away in my stash, I made it years ago using Pink Candi/Craftwork Cards and adhered this to the top left of my card.  To complete I added several small dots of 'Morning Dew' Nuvo Crystal Drops/Tonic Studios around the flowers and leaves

BLACK AND WHITE.... AGAIN!

Hello and welcome...
As we have CAS cards, and for new comers to card crafting that is 'Clean And Simple', I've decided to call this card a QAE, Quick And Easy!

I started with an A4 sheet of black card stock and scored it in half to give me an A5

I actually used photographic card for the white layers and cut the first piece to 12.5cm x 18cm and adhered it to the base card

On another piece of white photographic card, 9.5cm square, I stamped the heart image, by Clarity Stamp, with a Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad.  I then layered this onto black card 10cm square then adhered this to the main card

The sentiment, also by Clarity Stamp, was stamped using the same ink pad.  No verse inserted today as I don't know who, if anyone, will be the recipient of the card.  I donate cards to charities and if this is where this is heading it will have a suitable verse added

KINDESS MATTERS

Hello and welcome...
Today's card is, again, a 5" x 7" white card base.  I cut a smaller piece of black card by Crafter's Companion and embossed it with the 'Bubble Explosion' E/F by Leonie Pujol.  This card embosses beautifully

Next, using an alphabet die set by Tattered Lace, I, and I have to say, laboriously, ran the dies through my Platinum machine by Spellbinders, numerous times, until I had the right number of gold and silver letters for the sentiment.  I used mirri card for this from my stash

I adhered the black card onto the base card and arranged and glued the letters to the bottom left of my card

To complete I added a verse and used my favourite Woodware corner punch on all 4 corners of the insert

I think my hand was shaking a little when photographing the verse as it is not so clear, it reads:

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted
                                                       Aesop (620-560BC)
Verse

A very quick card to make, providing you have all the letters at the ready, I do have a large stash of multi coloured letters but none in silver or gold mirri.  I'll bear that in mind on a cold, wet day!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, I hope my designs have given a little inspiration.

PEARLS, PINKS & CARD WINNER

Hello and welcome...
Today's card is a white 5"x7".  I used one of a set of 3 dies, 'Beautiful Borders' by Crafter's Companion for the scalloped edge.  This set of dies are 6" long but you can  easily 'refit' the die into the last die cut piece on your card to extend the scalloped edge, as I had to do with my card being 7" long

I added a good size piece of 3D glue by Crafter's Companion to the top left of the card and arranged the pink flowers, from my stash, into the glue

Again, from my stash, and to conceal what remained of the glue, I added 2white butterflies

I cut a piece of my pink 'left-over' card to fit across the base card, then cut a smaller piece of white card to sit on top of the pink.  I embossed the white card, using  a bark effect folder from CraftStash to give it some texture, glued it onto the pink card then adhered to the main card

I die cut and embossed 2 tags, using the smallest tag from Essentials 'Multi-Tag Die Set', one in pink the other in white.  I did, however, stamp the 'Hello' onto the white card before I die cut it, as well as covering the card with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet by Woodware, then die cut it etc.  I removed the backing and sprinkled 'Diamond Snow', Glitter Jewels by Creative Expressions, over it

I glued the two tags together, allowing the pink one to show behind the white, added glue to the edge and tucked them under the border

To complete I die cut and embossed the 'Java' centre die with the cutting edge die from the Indonesian Collection by Sue Wilson in pink card then added 3 pearls to the top right and bottom left plus one in the centre of the 'Java' die cut

I used Random.org Number Picker' (it's on the right hand side of my blog) to pick the winner for Saturday's card and it is....

Littlelamb.... congratulations!  Please email poppyfieldcardcrafts@outlook.com

FLOATING HEARTS AND SEQUINS

Hello and welcome...
 I have a DL sized card for you today, 10cm x 18.25cm

I chose 3 different sized hearts from Creative Expressions Arty Hearts P0p-ems Set and covered them with White Gesso by Ranger.  Once dry I then coloured them with 'Rich Red Gilding Polish' by Creative Expressions (CE)

The sentiment and verse both came from the Sweet Wishes Stamp Set also by CE.  The sentiment was stamped to the bottom right of the card using a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad

I used a pre-inked blending tool that had Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink on it and lightly rubbed it over a section of the card where the hearts would hang

I used a very fine nylon thread to hang the hearts onto the card base then popped a little dot of glue onto the thread and adding 3 sequins.  The remaining sequins were glued to the card randomly

To complete I stamped the verse onto a pretty neutral coloured paper from my stash
