SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT!

Hi.... thank you for popping by

I thought, for a change, I would post something completely different to the ongoing flurry of Christmas cards!
I also make and decorate celebration cakes (Sweet Celebration Tiers), actually it is my husband and I who make the celebration cakes (he has been trained so well :)).  Steve is a very clever and talented man and I am very limited to what I can do because of having rheumatoid arthritis from a very early age.  I do make all the sugar work and decorations and 'dress' the cake

Thank you for visiting

I always look forward to reading your comments

Autumnal Tree

GOOD MORNING

Thank you for popping by...
I think today's card would be ideal for a
male recipient, what do you think?

I started with a piece of A4 copper card by Creative Expressions and folded it to make an A5.  I added a mat of white card and another of the copper but I embossed the copper card using Celtic Flower by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions

I stamped the tree (an old one from my stash) using Perfect Medium by Ranger, coated it with WOW Copper embossing powder then drew a few lines on the tree trunk to give some definition

The Warm Wishes is from a freebie set and was also stamped and embossed the same as the tree

Using shrink plastic I stamped and embossed several leaves from the same freebie pack using WOW Copper embossing powder and added a little red to one leaf and black to another for contrast.  These were adhered around the tree base and one leaf to the tree branch

To complete I lightly dusted a little Mowed Lawn Distressing Ink by Ranger to and around the tree base, a little Broken China Distressing Ink by Ranger to the top left corner of the card.  I then drew a 'fussy' thin border to finish

Hi, thank you for popping in on this very cold and miserable day!

I've made this card to enter into Clarity's Challenge Blog

It's an A5 card and I stamped the verse then masked it to enable me to stamp the floral image, this was then masked and I used a distress ink to colour the background

To finish I spritz the card with water then removed both masks

Good morning!  Thank you for popping by

I loved making this Christmas card, especially as it's going to be winging its way to my much loved auntie in Canada!

Whilst I know the colours are not of the traditional ones you expect to see I so love the delicacy of the aqua card and tend to use it quite often!

The dies are from the 2015 collection by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.  I've also used Iced Snow and Diamond Sprinkles from their range too.  I also added a few silver sequins, from my stash,  onto the background

The card is an 8"x8"

Have a great weekend and thank you for visiting

TIME/CLOCKS

TIME/CLOCKS

Hi... thanks for popping by

I made this card for a blog challenge

I started with an A4 white card base, scored to make an A5 size card then scored the top piece to create a fold and trimmed the card at an angle as shown

I then embossed another piece of white card using a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities EL-008 embossing folder

This was then covered with Metallic Wax Patina Copper, 'polishing' when covered.  Mounting foam was added to the back of the card and attached to the card inside as shown

The clock faces are from my stash and attached to the card with brads by Hobby House, as are the two metal clocks

To finish I typed the sentiment and gently added a little contrasting colour to it

All for now

Thank you for visiting

'SHABBY CHIC'

Hi, thanks for popping by
Using a white card base I added thin layers of black and white card finishing with black card

I then embossed a pretty pink paper from my stash and distressed the edges
I coloured a piece of tack cloth using a distress ink pad in Victorian Velvet by Ranger and adhered this to the card as well as creating a more jiggered edge to the bottom right side
In black card I cut and embossed a circle using one of my 'old' dies from Spellbinders and adhered it on top of the tack cloth

The sentiment sat on a white on white cut and embossed design by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions and I lightly coloured part of it using the Victorian Velvet ink pad

I made several flowers in various shades of pink, cut and embossed 1 white and 2 black  flourishes.  These were then positioned onto my card  as well as a few crystal stems

Halloween Fun

Hi, thanks for popping by

I made today's card as my entry in

Fantasy Stampers Challenge #74
'Halloween Fun'

This is a 6"x6" white card base with an orange and black mat.  I embossed the top layer using a wall effect embossing folder and also cut and embossed 2 bats

Stamps by Chloe ~ 'Bare Tree' was stamped onto black card and embossed with WOW Black Twinkle Embossing Powder.  I then 'fussy cut' the tree

I drew the dancing skeletons and, again, 'fussy cut' them to place on my card

The card was completed using stock from my stash

Hi, thank you for popping by

I'm entering today's card in the
Clarity Stamp Challenge Blog 44
the theme is:

CIRCLES & SQUARES

I started by creating an A5 white card base then halving one side again making an easel card

Using aqua card I cut an 18.5mm square, followed by a small layer from white card.  I secured the white card to my non-stick sheet, attached a stencil, then covered it with Creative Expressions Polar White Texture Paste
The stencil was then very carefully removed and cleaned.  The card was left to day overnight. Next day this was adhered to the base aqua card

Using 2 Double Pierced Circles Dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions I cut 6 pieces of white and4 pieces of  aqua card to make a frame.   The individual circles were adhered to give depth

Using Clarity's Dreams Stamp I stamped the sentiment onto aqua card then using a circular die cut this out and attached it to the centre of the main card.  I scattered silver stars around the sentiment then adhered the frame as shown

Finally I cut an oblong piece of aqua card then a layer of white card and glued them together.  I added foam mounting tape to this to give definition and also to enable the card to stand correctly

Using Tonic Square Dies I cut and embossed 5 aqua then 5 smaller white matts and adhered to the oblong border

This was completed using the Art Deco Alphabet - Upper Case Dies from the Expressions Collection by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions

I chose 'sweet' to compliment the 'dream' sentiment

Hi, thank you for stopping by

Please keep checking in as I have lots of craft goodies for sale at unbelievable prices!

This is a 7"x7" ivory card base where I added a thin purple and lilac mat onto the base.  I then matted ivory, purple and lilac card, smaller than what is on the base, and added foam tape to the back to give dimension.

I then measured a piece of ivory card to create the focal point and to fit in diagonally across the card.Using the Triple Gemini Dies - Cepheus I cut  the die at each end of the card then inverted it to complete the design.

The sentiment is from the 'Delightful Sentiments Range' for CE, this was stamped in black Archival.  'Cape Daisy' flower dies by SW for CE was used to make the layers on both flowers using lilac card and purple card for the flower centres, finishing the look with 2 flat backed ivory pearls

Original card showcasing the Cepheus dies by Sue Wilson can be seen on her blog, I have made several changes to my card

BIRTHDAY CAKE

I used an A4 pink card and folded it landscape.
On white card I used 'Best Wishes' Die by SW for CE to cut and emboss 3 times then adhered it onto white card.  The 'Happy Birthday' die and cupcake die is, again, by SW for CE.  I lightly coloured the cupcake base in pink and coloured the flame in yellow.  The 'Birthday Cake' die is by Savvy Dies.  I cut and embossed this, added double sided adhesive sheet to the back of the die cut then sprinkled Iced Snow by CE to it.  The flame on the candles are coloured in a ProMarker Red Pen.  The balloons were made with a punch by Woodware.  I applied glue to them and added Diamond Sprinkles.  On the top balloon I placed 2 tiny hearts.  Baker's Twine was used to 'hold' the balloons and the small ribbon is made with a die from my own stash

A U T U M N (2)

This is the second card I'm entering into the blogs listed below

On a piece of white card I placed a small circle to mask out the sun.  Using Distress Inks in:  'Faded Jeans', 'Fired Brick', 'Rusty Hinge' and 'Wild Honey' I coloured the card.  I removed the mask and drew 3 small birds in that area.  I stamped the butterflies using Archival Ink in 'Coffee' from IndigoBlu's Live, Laugh, Love Stamp Set

The sentiment is by Clarity Stamps,  was also stamped with the same ink pad

The card was then matted onto a brown, orange then white card

A U T U M N

This is one of two cards that I'm entering on the blogs listed below

On an A5 white card stock I used a die to create the scalloped edge on the front of the card and ran 'Rusty Hinge' Distress Ink Pad across the scalloped area.
Next I stamped 4 leaves using IndigoBlu 'Live, Laugh, Love' stamp set.  I used Distress Inks in Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge to colour the leaves.  A light coating of 'Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax' by Creative Expressions was applied to each leaf.

I then cut a strip of white card, backed it with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet, removed the backing and applied 'Red Blaze Gilding Flakes,' by Creative Expressions, to this exposed adhesive sheet.  This was then buffed with a piece of 'RubIt ScrubIt' again by CE.  This was mounted on a matt of white card then black card and adhered to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment (from my stash) onto white card using Adirondack's Dye Pad in 'Pitch Black'.  Using two flag dies (CE) I cut the sentiment from the smaller die then a black flag using the middle size die.  I 'curved' the sentiment and adhered to the card front.

I used Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue to secure the leaves on the edge of the card

This is my second card to enter into the

Crafty Cardmakers' Challenge Blog
featuring multiple layers

The finished dimensions are 8"x10"

I used grey pearlised card and white card to create 7 layers.  I added mounting foam to the final top section for dimension and layered this with a pretty floral design paper from my stash.  I attached a pink ribbon around this as well as making and attaching narrow white bows as well as adhering a small square, clear dazzler by Creative Expressions to the centre of the bow.  The sentiment was stamped in black to the bottom of the design

I'm entering this card into the

Crafty Card Makers Challenge Blog

Using lots of layers as requested, this card is an 8"x8"

I have mattered and layered onto my white base card the following:

white, pink, white card stock then a floral pink paper, I then added a white card that I'd previously embossed.  To this I cut and embossed my focal element (I'm not sure if it was a Tonic die) in pink card and attached in the centre.  I then added a white bow using silky crush ribbon by Creative Expressions.  The two flourishes are from the Bella Rose die set by Heartfelt Creations (I snipped off the leaves on both flourishes) and attached under the ribbon.  To complete I added 4 pink faux pearls using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to all 4 corners, pearls around the centre of the focal element then cut and embossed, on white card, two flowers from the 'Finishing Touches - Cornflower range of dies by Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions as well as adding a pearl to the centre on both flowers

All for now.... June x
