IT'S A GIRL

Hi... thanks for popping by...
This is a 6"x6" white card base that I matted and layered with pale pink and white foundation card by CE.  The final layer of pink card was embossed using an A4 M-Bossabilities Folder by Spellbinders, sorry but it's one of my old embossing folders and I can't remember its name!  I then cut the stork and nappy in white card and a white and pink heart using the New Arrival - Stork And Baby Dies Set by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. I then blanked the stork's legs and beak before I sprayed both the stork and nappy with glue and sprinkled Ultra Fine Flower Soft in White to cover both pieces.  This gives texture and a more realistic touch to both the stork and nappy.  From the Shadow Box Collection - New Arrival Die Set by SW for CE, I cut the individual BABY letters out of white card and embossed the letters, still in the dies, using a small embossing tool, doing this achieves a more defined image.  With a yellow ProMarker and a tan ProMarker I coloured the stork's beak and feet and added a small black gem, for the eye,  from CE. I also cut 2 thin white borders using the Double Pierced Squares by SW for CE and adhered these together as well as adding mounting foam to the back and placing it onto the card front.  I then cut 3 It's A Girl from the New Arrival - It's A Girl Die Set by SW for CE and one in pink card.  The white ones were adhered together and I created a shadow by off setting the pink card to the white layers then used spray glue over the image and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Sprinkles over the sentiment and adhered to the top left of the card.  The stork was adhered to the card using mounting foam for dimension, as were the white blocks and the two tiny hearts.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

GET WELL
Happy New Year Bloggers, thank you for popping by...
I made this particular card for a very dear relation of mine who is poorly.
The elements are from the Shadow Box Accessory - Feel Better Soon by SW for CE.
I adhered a small glass bottle, by Woodware, to the main tablet bottle die and as well as adding white micro beads by CE inside it.  I added the tablet instructions by using my 'brother' label printer on the small font setting.  The small flower is from another die set by SW for CE.
I used white and custard foundation card by CE for my mats and layers and added silver sequins, by CraftStash,  to the bottom of the card to complete the design.
The finished card is an A5.
Thank you for visiting, I welcome your comments and any questions you may have.
Tomorrow I have some exciting news to share with you.
All for now...

FINAL CHRISTMAS CARD FOR 2016

Hi bloggers, thank you for popping by...

This is an 8"x8" white card base that I matted with a thin gold mirri then added a white mat that I'd embossed with the Star Swirls A4 Embossing Folder by SW for CE
From SW's 2015 Collection I cut 2 of the Snowflake Borders and one tag again using
gold mirri card.  The borders were adhered to the card and mounting foam was adhered to the tag and placed in the centre of the card.  I typed the sentiment then added a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to it, removed the backing and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Snow

Thank you for visiting and wishing you all a very happy Christmas and New Year
I'm having a break over this festive time and will be back in the New Year with some exciting news and new plans for my blog...

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

Hi... thanks for popping by
This card was made for a commission and I decided to make it a circular card for a change!
It was very easy to put together once I had decided on what I would do.
I used a white card base and one of the pierced circle dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions and cut the shape leaving a slight overhang at the top of the card to create a hinge.
Using a smaller circular die in the same range I cut this in a red glossy card from my stash.
I used the same card for the two die cut baubles by Memory Box.
Again I used a smaller circular die from the same range to create a final mat and embossed this using the A4 Star Swirls Embossing Folder by SW for CE.
I typed the sentiment onto white card then added some double sided adhesive sheet to it and used one the tags, again by SW for CE to cut it out and also used the larger tag for the red gloss background tag.  I removed the adhesive sheet from the sentiment and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Snow to it as well as adhering 3 small red gems.  The white pearls are by Creative Expressions and I adhered these near to the edge of the card

Thank you for visiting and you're welcome to  leave me a comment or a question about today's card

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi... thank you for popping by

This is an 8"x8" white card base with a thin black mat.  I cut another piece of white card in two pieces, the larger card had double sided adhesive sheet on it and I removed the backing from that and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Iced Snow to cover it.  I added mounting foam to the back and adhered to the top part of the card
I also covered the smaller piece of card with double sided adhesive sheet then sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Sprinkles.  I put double sided tape on the back and adhered that to the lower part of the card
I used the Aurora Star Die by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions to create the main focal point in two black and one gold and cut two black bases and one gold base card.  I then scored the three bases and using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue I adhered to the scored bases.  To maintain the dome effect I used a large 'dollop' of 3D Collall Glue by Crafter's Companion to the centre of all three stars and placed them onto the card
I typed the sentiment as this was for a very good friend of mine and I wanted to make it personal.  I covered this with double sided adhesive sheet, removed the backing and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Sprinkles
I used the narrowest Stitched Flags from the Frames and Tags by Sue  Wilson for Creative Expressions for the sentiment then the smallest die again from the Frames and Tags - Pierced Flags by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions for the black mat

I hope you enjoy my blog, your comments are always welcome

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hi... thanks for popping by...
I started with an A4 white card, folded it in half to create an A5 card.
Blue card was used to make the frame, this is from one of the shadow boxes.  I added mounting foam to the back to give height.
I used a balloon punch and a star punch to add to the card and wrote 7 on the balloons also adding a small white line to highlight and attached strands of ribbon behind the balloons.
The letters and numbers were from a die set, cut out in white but for the name, Harry, I also cut the letters in black to give a shadow.
The console was from a picture in my stash and this had mounting foam added to the back and placed on the card. I also added a few silver stars around it.
Happy Birthday was embossed in black and a few more stars added around the sentiment
You're welcome to leave me a comment

SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT!

Hi.... thank you for popping by

I thought, for a change, I would post something completely different to the ongoing flurry of Christmas cards!
I also make and decorate celebration cakes (Sweet Celebration Tiers), actually it is my husband and I who make the celebration cakes (he has been trained so well :)).  Steve is a very clever and talented man and I am very limited to what I can do because of having rheumatoid arthritis from a very early age.  I do make all the sugar work and decorations and 'dress' the cake

Thank you for visiting

I always look forward to reading your comments

Autumnal Tree

GOOD MORNING

Thank you for popping by...
I think today's card would be ideal for a
male recipient, what do you think?

I started with a piece of A4 copper card by Creative Expressions and folded it to make an A5.  I added a mat of white card and another of the copper but I embossed the copper card using Celtic Flower by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions

I stamped the tree (an old one from my stash) using Perfect Medium by Ranger, coated it with WOW Copper embossing powder then drew a few lines on the tree trunk to give some definition

The Warm Wishes is from a freebie set and was also stamped and embossed the same as the tree

Using shrink plastic I stamped and embossed several leaves from the same freebie pack using WOW Copper embossing powder and added a little red to one leaf and black to another for contrast.  These were adhered around the tree base and one leaf to the tree branch

To complete I lightly dusted a little Mowed Lawn Distressing Ink by Ranger to and around the tree base, a little Broken China Distressing Ink by Ranger to the top left corner of the card.  I then drew a 'fussy' thin border to finish

To finish I spritz the card with water then removed both masks

Good morning!  Thank you for popping by

I loved making this Christmas card, especially as it's going to be winging its way to my much loved auntie in Canada!

Whilst I know the colours are not of the traditional ones you expect to see I so love the delicacy of the aqua card and tend to use it quite often!

The dies are from the 2015 collection by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.  I've also used Iced Snow and Diamond Sprinkles from their range too.  I also added a few silver sequins, from my stash,  onto the background

The card is an 8"x8"

Have a great weekend and thank you for visiting

TIME/CLOCKS

TIME/CLOCKS

Hi... thanks for popping by

I made this card for a blog challenge

I started with an A4 white card base, scored to make an A5 size card then scored the top piece to create a fold and trimmed the card at an angle as shown

I then embossed another piece of white card using a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities EL-008 embossing folder

This was then covered with Metallic Wax Patina Copper, 'polishing' when covered.  Mounting foam was added to the back of the card and attached to the card inside as shown

The clock faces are from my stash and attached to the card with brads by Hobby House, as are the two metal clocks

To finish I typed the sentiment and gently added a little contrasting colour to it

All for now

Thank you for visiting

'SHABBY CHIC'

Hi, thanks for popping by
Using a white card base I added thin layers of black and white card finishing with black card

I then embossed a pretty pink paper from my stash and distressed the edges
I coloured a piece of tack cloth using a distress ink pad in Victorian Velvet by Ranger and adhered this to the card as well as creating a more jiggered edge to the bottom right side
In black card I cut and embossed a circle using one of my 'old' dies from Spellbinders and adhered it on top of the tack cloth

The sentiment sat on a white on white cut and embossed design by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions and I lightly coloured part of it using the Victorian Velvet ink pad

I made several flowers in various shades of pink, cut and embossed 1 white and 2 black  flourishes.  These were then positioned onto my card  as well as a few crystal stems

Halloween Fun

Hi, thanks for popping by

I made today's card as my entry in

Fantasy Stampers Challenge #74
'Halloween Fun'

This is a 6"x6" white card base with an orange and black mat.  I embossed the top layer using a wall effect embossing folder and also cut and embossed 2 bats

Stamps by Chloe ~ 'Bare Tree' was stamped onto black card and embossed with WOW Black Twinkle Embossing Powder.  I then 'fussy cut' the tree

I drew the dancing skeletons and, again, 'fussy cut' them to place on my card

The card was completed using stock from my stash

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hi, thank you for popping by

I'm entering today's card in the
Clarity Stamp Challenge Blog 44
the theme is:

CIRCLES & SQUARES

I started by creating an A5 white card base then halving one side again making an easel card

Using aqua card I cut an 18.5mm square, followed by a small layer from white card.  I secured the white card to my non-stick sheet, attached a stencil, then covered it with Creative Expressions Polar White Texture Paste
The stencil was then very carefully removed and cleaned.  The card was left to day overnight. Next day this was adhered to the base aqua card

Using 2 Double Pierced Circles Dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions I cut 6 pieces of white and4 pieces of  aqua card to make a frame.   The individual circles were adhered to give depth

Using Clarity's Dreams Stamp I stamped the sentiment onto aqua card then using a circular die cut this out and attached it to the centre of the main card.  I scattered silver stars around the sentiment then adhered the frame as shown

Finally I cut an oblong piece of aqua card then a layer of white card and glued them together.  I added foam mounting tape to this to give definition and also to enable the card to stand correctly

Using Tonic Square Dies I cut and embossed 5 aqua then 5 smaller white matts and adhered to the oblong border

This was completed using the Art Deco Alphabet - Upper Case Dies from the Expressions Collection by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions

I chose 'sweet' to compliment the 'dream' sentiment
